Wanna win a $100 gift certificate just for playing Guitar Hero and get the chance to play against a real rock star?
Camp Jam and NAMM are bringing the Ready-Set-Rock! tour to a music store near you and giving you a shot to make a little cash and share the stage with a rock legend.
The free, interactive event features a music clinic led by a notable rock musician (see list below) and is designed to help youngster hone their rock 'n' roll chops as well as learn what it takes to be in a band.
Following the clinic, you will have the chance to demonstrate your virtual shredding skills as you battle it out in NAMM’s Wanna Play Guitar? Program featuring Guitar Hero III--- Legends of Rock - where the top players will go on to compete head-to-head against a real-life rock legend.
Plus, if you have for real guitar chops you can win $100 gift certificate in the Rock Solo Contest after that. What's there to lose?
The contest is only open to the first 40 people, so register now at the Camp Jam MySpace page and check it out for the most recent confirmed locations in a town near you.
Each tour stop will feature (at least) one of the following legendary rockers:
Jeff Carlisi: who co-founded Camp Jam in 2004 and was the original lead guitarist for the platinum selling rock act 38 Special. Carlisi co-wrote a number of 38 Special’s classic rock hits, including “Hold on Loosely,”
Liberty DeVitto: drummer for Billy Joel for more than 30 years and has played live with Sir Paul McCarney, Mick Jagger, Stevie Nicks and Elton John.
Derek St. Holmes: Ted Nugent's vocalist and guitarist.
Carmine Appice: drummer for Rod Stewart, Jeff Beck and Vanilla Fudge.
